With less than a week to go until start of the Premier League season, we challenged the Soccer Saturday pundits to pick their players to shine in the 2016/17 campaign.
Dimitri Payet emerged from obscurity to capture the imagination for West Ham last season, while a young Dele Alli made a stunning impact for Tottenham in his first Premier League campaign.
The majority of the talk surrounds big-name managerial arrivals and Paul Pogba's potential world-record move ahead of the opening the weekend, but the Soccer Saturday pundits have picked some players to steal the headlines in the new season.
Here's who Paul Merson, Matt Le Tissier, Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thompson expect to impress...
Ruben Loftus-Cheek: Ready to establish himself at Chelsea?
Merse picks: Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Time will tell if he gets into the team, but I don't see why he wouldn't. I'm not a big fan of John Obi Mikel and he will start the season away on international duty anyway, so maybe Loftus-Cheek will get a chance. I hope so.
However, it's a player reemerging that Chelsea really need. If Eden Hazard gets going then he could win Chelsea the league. He's potentially in the top four in the world. He had a terrible season last season, but could still be the best player in the league. If he gets going again they could sneak their way to the top.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan: Adding creativity to Jose Mourinho's side
Le Tiss picks: Henrikh Mkhitaryan
He had an outstanding 2015/16 for Dortmund, racking up 15 assists and scoring 11 times, and I think he'll provide Manchester United with the creativity they lacked last season.
They've got plenty of attacking options for him to supply so I'd image he's a very good Sky Sports Fantasy Football pick so certainly makes my team.
Nolito: Tipped to make an immediate impact at Manchester City
Charlie picks: Gabriel Jesus and Nolito
I'm looking at the summer signings and Gabriel Jesus is one that I've had an eye on for a while. He looks a great young talent, full of skill and explosive pace, and it will be interesting to see how he settles in when he arrives in January.
The one that I do suspect that's absolutely ideal for Pep Guardiola and ready to hit the ground running is Nolito. He's slightly older than Payet but that experience is going to be key to him having an immediate impact.
Leroy Sane: Expected to challenge Raheem Sterling for a starting berth
Thommo picks: Leroy Sane
Sane is one for me that has all the makings to be top Premier League player. He's got great pace and will be desperate to impress Pep.
It's looking like Raheem Sterling and Jesus Navas' positions are looking vulnerable, so breaking into the team quickly doesn't look an unrealistic ask by any means, although Sterling is a tough cookie and will be up for the battle.
