Liverpool will not consider selling Christian Benteke for less than the £32.5m he cost, according to Sky sources.
The Reds met a release clause in Benteke's Aston Villa contract last summer, but the Belgium international striker started just eight Premier League games after Jurgen Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers as manager.
Klopp said at the weekend selling Benteke "makes sense" but warned interested clubs against trying to get the 25-year-old on the cheap.
And it is understood Liverpool want to recoup the money they paid Villa and are prepared to wait until next summer, given the player has four years to run on his deal.
Benteke's agent says there is interest from several clubs, while a report in Turkey claimed he has agreed terms with Besiktas.

The Turkish club's president Fikret Orman said on Monday: "Benteke is a very important player. Do we want to see him in our team? We want him, but he is a player who was transferred with very high costs.
"Well.. It doesn't look like an easy transfer. There are also some number of different players we are interested in. We will have a look."
